I have been encouraged to post this by friends and aquantances who've read it and liked it.  The format of the story is that of a transcription of a personal log made by a crewmember of a survey ship.  It is short, which I like, and has a twist that sneaks up on you, which I like even more.

Any and all constructive comments would be greatly appreciated.  Hope you enjoy!
